Wednesday, February 21, 2015

I am preaching for the midweek Lenten service at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Slinger, WI on Wednesday, February 25 in the 4pm and 6:30pm worship services.  They also have a light supper between services.  My text will be Matthew 21:18-22 and we will look at the withering of the fig tree and promise to “move mountains” for the faithful.

Thursday and Sunday, February 26 & March 1, 2015

I am preaching for the regular worship services at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Slinger, WI on Thursday, February 26 in the 6:30pm worship service and on Sunday, March 1 in the 7:45am and 10:30pm worship services.  My text will be 1 John 4:7-12 under the theme “This is Love.”  The Church Choir will sing in both Sunday services.

I will also conduct Bible Class from 9am to 10:10am on Sunday as part of our series, “How We Got the Bible.”  Great refreshments are served!

Friday, February 27, 2015

It will be my humble privilege to preach for the funeral service of my friend, LeRoy Reed’s mother, Diane L. Reed, who died this past Tuesday.  We will look at her confirmation verse, Ephesians 2:10 and consider how richly God blessed her life and how, through her, God blessed the lives of many others.  That service will be at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Slinger, WI on Friday, February 27th at 6:00pm.  Visitation will take place from 3:30pm until the time of the service.
